Synesthesia by carpenoctem410 Synesthesia by carpenoctem410
My very late entry for this year's movie poster contest by #Screeners!

Synesthesia: a neurologically based condition in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway. People who report such experiences are known as synesthetic, and include individuals who can visualize numbers as shapes that fit together, or hear musical notes when they see colors.

The shape on this poster combines several thoughts of mine.
First of all, it combines all senses, it connects them. The dot on the head symbolizes some sort of sixth sense, special gifts the characters in this movie individually own.
The paint symbolizes the special key the story relies on.
Also, if you look at it, you could also see two faces staring at each other. Two connected people. Connected by their senses and their gifts.
The faces have a greek feeling to them. When I think of this Greek style, I think of the muses of arts and wisdom and philosophy, of democracy and justice.

I hope you like it!

HONORABLE MENTION

This poster has been given SPECIAL RECOGNITION AS AN OUTSTANDING ENTRY to the 2012 Epic Movie Poster Contest.

Although this poster did not win one of the place prizes - we wanted to include it in the winners journal due to it's exceptional quality and style.

Your image, along with other winners can be found in this winners journal: [link], and will be featured on the #Screeners front Page.

Thank you so much for participating this year :handshake:
We sincerly hope you will enter next year's contest as well :)

Thank you! :dummy: Great I made it at least this far :giggle:
One of my favorites didn't make it into this journal at all, I'm surprised! But I very much agree with your winner's choices :)

thank you! Having been judge in this contest last year I know how hard it is, it's a really time consuming scoring process. Thanks for wishing me luck!
